my two snakes

which spend a lot of time under the light on a high log have like 2 little spots where the scales idk i guess are burned can that happen?

Unless they can actually come in direct contact with the light, I really doubt they have burns on them....unless the light is blazing hot! I'd think it might actually be some sort of scale damage from another source, like being too dry, too wet, mites or something else.

If they were burned by the light there should have damaged areas, not only little spots.

I would also think if they were burned they be developing blisters........or atleast some sort of mass damage in an area.....
