Coast garter found today

Thamnophis elegans terrestris - Coast Gartersnake
My wife & I went out today. I was hoping to find another California Red sided garter snake. I guess I couldn't be thant lucky...LOL! Anyhow, after no luck @ the first spot we went to, we checked out another spot that I had found snakes before. That is when I spotted this nice looking coast garter. It has alot of red on it, I think it is pretty cool

I think the season is about over, supposed to rain this week & then cold weather front. May have to switch gears & look for California Giant Salamanders soon
