What do the numbers mean? (Sid?)

I noticed in Sid's sig and a few others that they have numbers like this "7.5 T. s sirtalis- Eastern Garter". What does that number mean?

Just curious ;o)

those corrispond to the sex. so 2.3 is two males and three females.
As in real life, the man goes first!
or "the wife is always right" if you prefer!

Re: What do the numbers mean? (Sid?)

Years ago, when I first saw these numbers in use, I was very confused for quite a while by the third number (1.1.1)......Never had the nerve to ask anyone! Shows how stupid I am! (or was?)
