My sentiments exactly James. I have been disheartened to see that some of the posts on this thread, and a couple others, have become rather condescending lately. I think some members need to remind themselves that this is a place where those with a common love of garters(and other snakes) get together to meet and share experiences and opinions in a friendly, understanding manner. Opinions do differ, but we must not talk down to each other, or we lose the whole point of having this wonderful forum.
There, that's my 2 cents on the matter!!

My apologies for not picking up on it earlier....I was rather hoping it might settle down all by itself. Of course there will always be differences of opinion, and that's a good thing, but we must all continue to treat each other with mutual respect. We can discuss and disagree all we like, but there's no need for insult or personal attacks. It's good that we can, as members, be wrong about something without the fear of ridicule or embarrassment. God knows, I'm wrong often enough!

Re: glad I don't live in Texas!!

I was mortified to find out minnows were not baby goldfish. For days I went around asking people (you know, anyone), "Did you know that minnows are not baby goldfish." Everyone said, "yeah, of course." I probably deserved a little embarrassment, but no one here saw the need to embarrass me further. Anytime I have been wrong, people here just corrected what I said to set the record straight and didn't make issue with it. That is why I come back.

Re: glad I don't live in Texas!!

Texas really has been hammering down on the herpetiles. It is getting really ridiculous. As long as they are CBB, they need to back off and let freedom ring. I would think that there are more important things going on down there.
