I've never owned one and am not that familiar with them, but I recall that their ventrals are distinctively white and black. It's been a while since I've seen one, but I'm betting that's what Regan is finding for $5 in the Phillipines. Rick |

It is always so useful if you can get the animals' scientific name. It seems that Pet Shops the world over call anything they can't identify a Garter Snake!

Here in Texas, they're free because they just made it illegal to sell them (along with a ton of other critters).
