Im about to go inside a forest herping ive found lots of little critters im hoping to find a blue stripe of florida blue garter snake

ok well i went to the woods today and nothing flat that snakes could really hide under butt i did find a baby ribbon snake among the dead leaves i was exited at first because i thought it was a baby similis because it has a little blue, should i keep him?? the only reason i ask this is he looks very small and couldnt be much more than a month old
