Escapee gone for weeks...returns!
Almost 2 months ago I found that the california redsided baby that I separated because she was trying to eat the other babies, escaped. I did all the usual things to find her, but no luck. With my australian water dragons running around I figured she was a goner. Well, tonight I was feeding the other babies. To do that I separate all of them into separate containers which are placed on the floor around the cage until they are all done. Each container has lids so I felt safe to leave the room for a while. When I came back to see if they were all finished I found one in the floor near the containers and figured that one had gotten out somehow! I did wonder why it was so skinny though. I mean even without just eating these babies are good sized. I opened all the containers to put them back into the cage along with the one I picked up from the floor running loose and guess what? All the containers still had their own snakes.....so.. I can't believe she is still alive, I mean, what did she do for water? This is an apartment and there are no holes to outside...I've looked. I am sooooo lucky!

No cats or dogs, but I have two australian waterdragons that run all over the apartment. They have their water tubs in the livingroom and one of the bedrooms. I don't think this baby is long enough to be able to climb into one though. It is only 12 inches or so and the tubs are 9 inches deep.

That's marvelous news! I would offer her not to much food the first time you give her dinner. So she can slowly start digesting again. Hope she'll recover great
