Miriam ate during shedding again!
This cracks me up, this is the second time she's done this. She was rubbing around the tank, froze when she smelled the yummies, grabbed herself a fat minnow, and after finishing it she went back to rubbing around.
She's not having a good shed; it's coming off in pieces. Probably a result of the stress lately??? I will soak her tomorrow morning... I didn't realize she was shedding until after she'd grabbed the fish. ![]() ![]() You can see pieces of her shed near her head and middle of her body. Anyway, I think it's neat that she eats while in the process! None of my others do. |

Re: Miriam ate during shedding again!
Molting doesn't ever seem to stop my garters from a meal. I've had them all blue eyed striking and missing at food items before. I think garters are just natural pigs...LOL.
