Shedding adventure.......
Well, both snakes shed this morning almost simultaneously. Deejay had a perfect shed as usual, and grew about 4cm in just the last month!!
Stitch, however, still has a good 5-6cm of skin stuck to his back end. ![]() Soooooooo, I tried wet-bagging him.......... He was having NONE of that!! The wiry little devil did everything he could to avoid going in there, and now my husband has first hand knowledge of the power of snake musk!! (and Dekay's musk is a lot stinkier than I expected.....)However, I made Stitch a nice damp hide and put it in his house, which was much more well received, and he is currently holing up inside, although I think I can still hear him cursing me.......... I'll try to get that shed off him after dinner.

Re: Shedding adventure.......
my adult corn snake always has skin stuck on his tail which i have to attempt to get off without him biting me, he doesnt get angry about it though because being angry and mean is normal personality, and thats why im so attracted to the bad tempered cutie.

Re: Shedding adventure.......
I think Stitch is more upset because, being wild-caught, he's never had such an event imposed upon him!
I usually only handle him gently and let him crawl around as he wishes. This is the first time I've ever tried to stuff him into something unexpectedly. And having his tail pulled on probably didn't impress him a whole lot either!! He'll probably forgive me after a couple days and a good feeding! ![]()
