Thanks guys. What it really takes to get these kinds of pictures, is PATIENCE. and I mean you ned to have the patience of a stone at the bottom of the ocean. I click the shutter about 300 times in one photo session. When I am done, I delete the obvious bad ones from my camera. On average I upload about 160 pics from one session to my comp. I then go through and keep deleting pictures until I have anrrowed it down to the cream of the crop. This is usually about 20 photos.

and trust me, sometimes i get SO FRUSTRATED WITH THESE GUYS BECAUSE COLUBRIDS DO NOT LIKE HOLDING STILL.

Yes, way more pics go in the trash than ever kept. I am never satisfied with the pics I take. I would like to get a better camera, like a nikon D80, but once I do that, it will never stop. A few of my friends have them & then bought lenes, flashes & all types of accessories that have costed BIG BUCKS$$$. I have broken several cameras over the years, so paying that kind of money for a camera, I better learn to be more careful...LOL!

yes, these snakies do not like to sit still....my last batch of photos was done while they were in brumation....hehehe...they were too cold to do a lot of moving!!!!

Same here Jerry, I would love a camera like some of our buddies/aquaintances. Get jealous when a guy can snap pics off in the dark and have them come out like they were taken in a studio!
But it is so far off on my priority/money- available list, that they will have to be garage sale items before I can afford one!
I can barely afford to pay attention at this point.
But I'm still going to the desert this year- even if I have to walk!
