Are earth worms from vending machines bad?
I was told to stay away from vending machine live bait... are these worms realy bad for garters?

they can be, your best bet is to just use nightcrawlers if your going to use worms, if your Garters are babies then you cut them up to about the size of the babies head, and if there adults they should be able to eat a whole one..............

they are safe if they are US or canadian night crawlers. it's those little red wrigglers that are no good. if the worms are small, red and have light colored rings around their body they are no good. They also secrete a foul smelling orange liquid when touched. nightcrawlers or earthworms are just plain brown.
