Re: My first babies of the year! concinnus!!!
If it's really them that you want, then there's a way to get them. Some other snakes of this nest will be handed over to James in August ( and also Greg will get a couple). I still have a few and so can provide them for you, but then you should talk to James on that...
Thanks for the reactions ![]()

Re: My first babies of the year! concinnus!!!
Beautiful concinnus babies. I really love the look of these garters. What are their personalities like compared to some of the other sub-species? I've heard they're more calm/relaxed then the California red-sided (Thamnophis sirtalis infernalis)
Excellent pictures Hans, and congratulations on those babies. Steve |

Re: My first babies of the year! concinnus!!!
I've not had infernalis yet. But I don't think those rumours are right. Mine are very quick and highly alert on what you do when the enclosure is open. The 2 females also need to be looked after when you give them food, because they have a tendency to 'take' the others food.
But that said, these are really snakes I see a lot, almost always going though the enclosure and checking things out. And they are gorgeous to observe. Thanks for the reaction ![]()
