odd prey size ratio

several of my garters are co-housed in groups of three and tweezer fed in their cages
it's just the right number for me to feed at the same time
three of my '07 females (the fourth goes into a separate container for live minnows with some dead items) get fed that way
last feeding, Momo, the anery radix, who is the largest had her large pink in about he same amount of time it took the other two to down three small pinks each, so I thought I'd give them all large ones this time
here's what happened
as I'm luring Momo, the largest, away from the hide with an extra large pink, Spunky, the normal radix, almost as big as Momo, launched herself up from the cage bottom (impressive!) and ended up dangling on my shirt sleeve - clearly ready for a large pink, I thought
so then, what the heck, Maya, the little concinnus (much smaller), ate as much last time, so why not? with a tad of trepidation I gave her a large one too
she was the one that was done first and needed another right away, while Momo was a little behind and Spunky was having trouble
after her second, Maya didn't want any more
Momo had a second large pink as well and a small one for desert
Spunky took close to an hour to finish her first one, despite being larger than Maya and willing to eat my arm

James, it was the same size as the other pinkies. And drache was probably exaggerating a bit. It was probably 15 minutes or somethin'. But either way, it was a long time!
