New girl! eats... everything...
So.. as some of you may remember I picked up a new garter on sunday while herping... a HUGE female. The wound under her chin is starting to heal up nicely. Well... monday after work I took her out and put her on the carpet. I then put a f/t pinky under her nose and BAM... she ate 5 pinkies and 2 slices of trout like she had been my pet snake her entire life... I have had some w/c garters take to feeding easily... but usually not the day after being found... and on my carpet after being picked up!!!

that's exactly what mine did!!!! and a month later out popped 18 babies!!!!! and now she's my best pet EVER!!!!!

she was on some posterboard for the pictures!
no.. she never attempted to bite me but I find most large female garters do like to bite at first!

yeah... mine bit me hard and wouldn't let go for over 5 mins... but she never bit or even struck at me since... i guess she didn't like the taste of my blood... too salty....
