Does anybody know

hey its me again and i'm thinking since i had my santa cruz garter snake i'm thinking about getting a diffrent type of garter snake like a florida blu garter snake but i can't find a single pet store that sells them in pittsburg of philadelphia so could yall tell me where i could find either a breeder or petstore that sells them. And another thing i was wondering if it was okay two put two different types of garter snakes in the same tank like a common and a florida blue cause my friend has whole bunch of commons and he said he was going to give me one for free plus a tank and all the supplies so is it okay for me to put a florida blue and a common in the same tank. Oh and there the exact same size there both young adults the common is a female and i'm planning on getting a male florida so i need some answers so help me out

Re: Does anybody know

This link is for Scott Felzer Scott Felzer's Garter Snakes, specializing in aberrant garters. He breeds the Florida Blues. Keeping different Garters together is fine if they are of similar size. I would separate the males and females as they mature to avoid cross breeding.

I think you can find a pretty wide range of Garter species right here on our forum. Some members have already had babies this year.... much more to come yet!

As Sid says, keeping similar sized individuals of different species together is fine, but as they mature they will cross breed, given the opportunity.
