Hamm show
got a new Garter on Saturday and got talking to the shop keeper. said they were going to the Hamm Show in June/July and bringing some Garters back.
how i asked and they said you can bring back snakes by driving back. a couple of questions then if any one can help as i thought you were not alowed to bring snakes over. 1 How many snakes can you bring back at a time. 2 Which Garters are not alowed to be brought into this country. 3 Do you tell custems before going to the show that you will be bringing snakes back with you. |

Re: Hamm show
There is no restriction on the movement of Garter Snakes in or out of the UK, and reptiles do not need a quarantine period before coming into the UK, so you don't need to inform HM Customs.
However, the ferry companies don't usually permit the carrying of snakes.... so you just have to 'sneak' them. It's against the ferry company rules, but not against the law.
