Re: T. e. vagrans babies

I must get around to measuring and weighing mine. How did you get them to hold still, to take the measure?

Re: T. e. vagrans babies

I used SnakeMeasurer (Apps). Simply put, throw the snake in a box with something for scale, take a picture from above, import the picture into the program, set the length unit by measuring the object in the picture, then just start to measure the snake.

Here's an example photo:

The brochure is 21.0 x 29.7 cm, i.e. A4.

That's really clever! You could even get an accurate SVL with this. Good find, Stefan.

Funny little snakes. The darker one gets lighter with every shed and the lighter one gets darker.

Re: T. e. vagrans babies

How about now? Are they big enough to breed yet?

Sheds from the smaller of the two. Top to bottom: Latest, second and first shed.

Re: T. e. vagrans babies

They've grown about 5cm between each shed. I would have included the third and fourth sheds, but I couldn't tell which shed belonged to which snake anymore.
