Calm snakes vs. sex
Do male or female snakes tend to be more calm when handled? Or is it more an individual thing?

Re: Calm snakes vs. sex
I find the female snakes are more aggressive and are willing to defend them selfs with more gusto, the new snake we have is a spit fire and judging from all the posts I have read , it seems to me that more has been disscused about agressive females than males...
we find this in most animal species. bye michelle |

An aggressive 20" male garter is cute, an aggressive 40" female is nasty.
![]() Okay, so I've only had one male garter so far and it definitely wasn't aggressive. Neither are any of my females (I just downgraded my female parietalis from "feisty" to "likes to inspect new objects by putting them in her mouth").
