Re: Thamnophis.com Desktop Wallpaper

You might have to wait a little longer!
Or photograph faster
I´ve tried again and again.
My hard disk is full of the other shots

Don't you just love 'the digital age'
You can delete everything but the perfect shot!

I don't know what I did with the radix today. I was taking pictures outside and she was constantly creeping out. But suddenly she decided to be a cool snake and just chill! Incredible! (still didn't get the perfect shot though )

my experience exactly
I've got tons of fantastic shots of the beardie, but many of of my snake photos are blurry tail shots and the rest aren't that good either
and yes - do I ever appreciate digital

so how do you do it, Udo?

Re: Thamnophis.com Desktop Wallpaper

First I handle the snake a while, until the excitment of leaving the enclosure is gone. Than put her to the set up and cover with my hand or a bowl.
After waiting until she don´t move any more, I put the hands/bowl away and taking as much photos as fast as possible.
Some times you can also make her to watch your fingers like the trick of the cobra and the flute.

Re: Thamnophis.com Desktop Wallpaper

Just take pictures of everything all the time.

then pick out the best ones Certain snakes in our collection have been photographed so many times, they almost seem to pose for the camera anymore.

Like anything, the more you do it, the better you get. Big memory cards, and rechargeable batteries make it easy to take a hundred photos just to get 1 good one.
