Northwesterns come in a lot of colors....different stripes, backgrounds... I have some real cool pics of some, wil try to post them later (kinda late tonite....). I am still going with northwestern... here's my female that passed away last fall...

yes, ive think ive came to the conclusion that its a northwestern garter . a morph of it atleast.
all the other one striped garters ive seen just still dont come close to this.
my guys stomach is black just like the side of him as oppose to a light color like most the other garters i was comparing to .
this guys head is stubby and about the same width as his neck . wich is another tell tale sign of a northwestern .
the top of his head has a yellow dot like lots of garters but this is exactly the way the northwesterns appears in ther recent photos i just found .
his lower labials are the same count too wich is another tellltale sign of a northwestern .

anyone know were i can get some quality northwesterns perhaps a golden onestriped one . preferably around the east coast of the US maybee.

I don't know of anyone breeding northwesterns (until I can get some!! ) at this time. I have 4 baby brown ones, but they are tiny so it will be a while for me.
