Garter Snake About to Constrict?
I found this video on youtube of a garter snake attacking a chipmunk/ squirrel. It looks like it was about to constrict ot. What do you think?YouTube - squirrel,snake

its kinda hard to tell, because the snake stuck from the side to the other side landing over his body which kinda made it look like it was going to.
it happend so quick its hard to see. that is a chipmunk, and one heck of a meal for that garter if he was able to swallow him at all. |

Looks like a regular strike to me. In the garter snakes book by Rossman, it does mention that wandering garters have been known to constrict on rare occasions....I have seen 2 of them do it in my collection...
