    Re: Concinnusman's Garters

The very red striped female ordinoides is gravid and the wait for the babies is killing me. I'll probably have to wait even longer for the concinnus, perhaps August.

Does anyone have connections or know how I could sell some babies to people outside the U.S.? I'm pretty sure I'm going to be overrun with concinnus babies so no offense to other concinnus breeders but I'll be underpricing all of you.

well i for one would love to get my hands on some of those concinnus you have, epically the red stripe!! I have read that you would like to do trades, would be nice to trade you a couple maritimers if you would be interested.

The red stripe is T. ordinoides. The red spots are T.sirtalis concinnus. I have looked into shipping to Canada and it would be insanely expensive and also I'm not really interested in maritimes.

    Re: Concinnusman's Garters

OK, got a new 14 megapixel Nikon camera and I'm lovin' it. Here's a picture of Amy taken today with the new camera. I sure love my huge concinnus girls but Amy is still my favorite. She's awesome. She was only 9.7 inches back in Jan but she's 14 inches now! Thanks Don Belnap (ssssnakeluvr) She's worth every penny. She's one AWESOME T. radix.

It's interesting to note that I have noticed that when she is "in shed" her golden stripes fade and her eyes get just a hint of lavender color.(she's getting there right now). But that's not the interesting part. When she's in shed, she still eats but is less active and seeks out spots where the temperatures are in the mid to upper 70's. The rest of the time, she prefers low to mid 80's.

My concinnus girls (and guys) will always seek out the basking area even if it's around 90-92 degrees, they'll sit there practically all day. Not Amy. She likes 82-85 at the most. Most nights I cool her entire home down to 70-75 for about 8 hours.

She was started on "rosies" (fish) but she's a straight pinky girl now, with an occasional snack of night crawlers and silversides pieces.

Sure would be nice to know her actual birthday, but I'm pretty sure she has already turned one year old.

Amy says "I know" She's such a charmer too. Everyone that sees her says she's pretty. People who loath snakes love amy. I think it's going to her head.
