I forgot you have the flu! Sorry Chantel...I hope you get better soon. Well, as soon as you are up to it...try to do the towel thing with Mama. Maybe Ember could lie there with the two of you.

Ember wants nothing to do with me anymore, he just keeps getting more and more jumpy. I did the towel thing with Mama but nothing came out or anything.. She just kind of hung out with me and let me rub her chin. It was nice to sit with her when I wasn't feeling good. She's my little buddy, that's for sure.

Well...at least you guys had some bonding time. It might not be an immediate thing either. I don't know...I'm just trying to find anything that might help you at this point. If Mama likes to sit with you like that...I would keep letting her sit with you on a warm towel...if anything, the increased heat is good for her immune system...increased heat is good when they are sick and the book I read did say to increase heat if a female is retaining anything after birth. Maybe you could put a warm dry washcloth in Ember's tank for him to snuggle up on...the heat might stimulate something to pass and it would probably make him more comfy. I say dry because it probably wouldn't be good for him to sit around on a wet towel.

Dampness does help him pass though, he always gets his prolapse stuck on he papertowels and everything else that's dry if it touches him. I'll do what I can for now, it's hard not being able to do much.

I'm going to put Ember down today. There's blood all over the tank...It'd be selfish of me to keep him alie any longer.
