Question im not sure?

i was in new york state this week, near niagra falls and i caught this snake, i dont think its an eastern, is it a maritime?

My first guess would also be a maritime garter snake.

Sure looks like "my guys". I am about 70 miles east of Niagra Falls. Maybe the maritime range is larger than the books say.

Yeh, looks like a pallidulus to me as well. As far as colour morphs, pallidulus has almost as many different colour "morphs" as sirtalis. Only big difference, is they tend to be well spotted and don't have hardly any dorsal stripes. There's already pics on here of people showing blue, red, green, brown and other colours. Whether you could call them actual morphs (that they'd breed true or not, I don't know).

I would also say pallidulus...very nice snakes... am looking to get me a couple pair of breeders...I emailed the valley pets guy and never got a reply....

Omg, I might go hunting around that place then, that one snake looks so cool . And Niagara Falls is only 40 mins away from here .
