Smile flash photography

i think my garter rico doesn't like camera flashes...went to take a picture of him and all of sudden he took off and disapeared for a while behind the bed. we could see him just not reach him took like an hour to lure him out with a worm it was really cute though watchin him under the bed all curled up just chillin down there.

has any one else ever had this problem?

Re: flash photography

Some snakes apparently take it better than others. Mine don't react to the flash in any way. But they are a bit scared of the flashlight.

Re: flash photography

Camera flash does not bother any of my snakes. It doesn't seem to bother ones in the wild either, from my experience.

Re: flash photography

To be honest I've never had a snake react to camera flash, except for perhaps a barely perceptable twitch.

Re: flash photography

This isn't the first time I've heard about a reptile reacting that way to the flash. Mainly geckos and anoles, but also pythons, boas and rat snakes (including corns).
