Re: My T.Sirtalis
Hi Nelson,
Thanks for sharing your pictures with us. For what it's worth... "she" is suspiciously long and thin to be a female. If "she's" mature, I don't think you'll ever get babies out of "her." ![]() Rick |

Re: My T.Sirtalis
it looks long in the picture, compared to the tank on were it is. But, its too small xD. compared to whats outside the tank, keyboard for example, in my hand, to some anime character replicas i have. But well, you guys are the experts, i might have to take more closer pictures to determine it's sex.
Although i went through Alan Francis's Guide for Sexing, and after much comparition, i think it's a female. It would probably be an interesting thread if i ever get to take the pictures, and make the post (or will it? hehehe, probably the first reply will be, yeah its a he or she ). |

Re: My T.Sirtalis
Yeah but you have the whole Natrix genus... Great snakes there! Sometimes I wish we had them around here!

Re: My T.Sirtalis
There are not that much Natrix-species in Europe.
We have Natrix natrix, Natrix maura and Natrix tesselata... That's only three! You have about 30 garter species!

Re: My T.Sirtalis
It is really odd how Americans have all these great colubrids yet we focus on pythons here in the hobby.

Re: My T.Sirtalis
It's the same everywhere, but I believe boas are more popular here. Corallus and Epicrates are very popular right now. Of the pythons, it's of course the beginner snakes, the ball pythons, that get the most attention, with the Morelias being more popular among more experienced hobbyists. I don't really like pythons, boas or anacondas that much, I simply don't find them interesting.

Re: My T.Sirtalis
i agree i like the littler snakes, not cause they are less harmless but because they are alot more interesting in their colorings and movements and what not
