another vet visit

took some snakes to the bet today

Sammy's (my wandering) double chin turns out to be a lump, which is a bit scary, but since I'm fairly certain that it's been shrinking, I'm just gonna keep an eye on it
btw - the vet made a comment about her personality
he noticed how she holds on a bit and seems to enjoy humans

Drache (the PI king) got an appetite stimulant, because he's no longer obese
the vet's first snake was one of these and he told me, he too overfed it at first and the same thing happened (very long diet with brumation in the middle)
mine's not skinny yet
actually he's just right
and he's gonna eat tomorrow

Caramel will probably keep his tail
Coffee has no retained shed or brille
I guess I just didn't find it when it came off
both Xenochrophis are coming along nicely

Inigo's (the T. s. similis) skin lesions (blisters) needed some discussing, since there was no dampness in her tank when she got them, and she's been improving with the damp hide, contrary to what one would expect
again - go with what works
and daily nolvasan baths to prevent the lesions from getting infected

I asked him about Henner's (the beardie) mildly depressive state and he recommended more exercise and stimulation
Henner just can't wait for summer when it's warm enough for him to go outside

Re: another vet visit

Well it sounds like the clan is doing well. I've had times where Babe, my PI king, also just goes off feed for months, but always seems to come back into condition and have a healthy appetite.

It sounds indeed like you have everything under control and it's going ok. Good to hear

If it's any relief my kingsnake also has long fast periods, but eventually always start eating well again.

Re: another vet visit

well, he's fine, I think
it's amazing how slow his weight loss has been
he looks pretty much normal now, after not taking food since october
the appetite stimulant didn't do the trick yet either
he was not in the least interested in mouse
