    Question Chicken liver

Ok do I was wanting an opinion from you all before I did anything. We ee over at my mom's house for diner tonight. She put a whole chicken on the rotisserie. As she was cleaning out the inside, she pulled out the liver and I thought of a post thread or post about organ meat. The chicken was a foster farm chicken that had been frozen for about 3 weeks. What are your thoughts about feeding the liver to my snakes. This would only be a treat not a permanent meal option.

    Re: Chicken liver

I've fed Little Dude chicken meat before. She actually seemed to enjoy it. Liver, though, would definitely have a stronger odor and flavor, and probably the snakes would love it.

    Re: Chicken liver

My snakes always enjoy turkey liver and gizzard aroud Thanksgiving time. Turkey heart also.
I do have a few snakes that won't eat it but for the most part it's enjoyed.
Don't see why chicken livert would be much different.

I offered some to all the snakes, but only Willow and Blade ate some. They LOVED it! The rest really didn't, even the baby. That's ok though.

    Re: Chicken liver

Mine both go crazy for mouse liver, so they're going to get some chicken liver this Thanksgiving!
Do they have to be frozen, or is there less risk of parasites since chickens and garters probably wouldn't share a parasite life cycle in the wild?
