    Lightning's First Shed

Lightning had his first shed today. That is why it has been eating. He seems to be pretty skilled at it. My grandma was watching him over this passed week. She was here 4 days ago, and did not see any loose skin on him, nor a skin around the tank. I came back from florida earlier, and there was a skin laying in front of his water. My old ribbon snake took about 8 days to shed. Lightning seemed to have did it in 4-5. That's also the reason why he was refusing to eat. I fed him soon after I saw the skin, and he had a feast.

He's very good at maintaining a good spot to digest. I fed him yesterday, and by the end of the day, he was already thin again. I think I have his temperature just right. He either rests on his rock, rests on the side of it or goes up high by his light. He's pretty skilled at things. I must say, my old snake never would have been able to do some of the things that Lightning does.
