She ate the fish !!!

I feel bad because I feel as If I starved her for a week and 2 days , I didnt feed her so she could be hungry and could accept the fish. Today was her feeding day and I gave her a 1/4 piece of a pinky and two small fish cubes cut up pretty small. So this is how it went , the first thing she grabbed was a piece of fish which made me scream at the top of my lungs " YEA GO JADE GO " hahaha and after a minute or so noticed it wasnt going anywhere because the piece was to big but I have to hand it to her she tried to shove it down her mouth by banging the fish piece on her water bowl trying to make it fit that was a highlight of this feeding time. So when I noticed this I played tug-o-war with her to get the piece of tilapia out of her mouth she was pretty strong actually , when I finally got it out I cut it in half and she ignored it for a second she went for the piece of pinky she ate it. After all that she went for the fish and ATE IT !!!! I left 2 more small fish for her to eat since he hadn't eaten in a while and she at one of those and left the other one but she ate it on the 2nd attempt I am so happy ! had has a nice bulge I will feed again in three days ! ecstatic snake owner !!!

Good job Jade! John, you are too cute how excited you get over your snake . I love hearing about a proud garter owner. Warms my heart. I'm right there with you...I was so happy that Seeley finally ate some pinky tonight...Seeley and Jade have the exact opposite problem...all he wants is fish. Watch for that bulge to go down and then feed her again...if she doesn't want to eat again, that's okay too. She may determine her feeding schedule for you...but I would go ahead and offer it again in about three days...that's what Steve suggests with the little ones.

Glad to be here !! well I must say its a complete success with the fish , I have no more pinky's be I decided to feed her today since she pooped very early in the morning , I just fed her no pinky scent just fish and she ate it no problem !! I AM SO HAPPY , I MANAGED TO TRAIN HER TO EAT FISH !

I know you should have seen me , I was brutal had her on a leash. Made her pick her head up 50 times with food in her mouth until she could eat. shes a strong little one I love her though !
