I think, it is some sort of mashed up fish, it certainly smells fishy. Its also got all the correct amount of vitmain supplements in it. The guy we get it from formulated it specially for raising san francisco garters when he was breeding them. I think its fairly new on the market of reptile foods, and thats why a lot of people arent that familiar with it. Its not just garters that are eating it either, our supplier says that other people have found its quite popular with carnivorous fish and turtles.
I'll make sure to get a picture of it then you guys can see what its like.

Yeh, garter grub used to be around in the states many years back, but I think at the time, not enough people over here were interested in keeping garters and it kind of vanished. I haven't seen it sold anywhere in a VERY long time.

it's made by T-Rex and they do sell stuff in the US, but nobody carries it

Garter Grub has been available in the UK for ever, but I've never tried my snakes on it.
