temperature variance

I am using a Zoo Med basking spot lamp to keep the area on the basking rock at 28-30C.At night the temp. drops by about 10C. is this too much of a change?it's pretty close too what the weather does here from day too night.

Re: temperature variance

That sounds like a pretty normal temperature drop to me.

Re: temperature variance

Sounds perfectly fine to me. I think a good night drop is healthy for the animals, gives there bodies a rest at night. Also gets them out to bask in the AM, which always seems to be when your snakes look their best.
