    Snake for 26 bowfront

I was wondering if there was a garter snake that can live in a 26 bowfront, if not could dekay's brown snakes or red bellies live in this setup? I have to wait till spring to add grasses and other plants

I think S. dekayi would love it. Looks pretty dry but adding a nice water dish will help with the humidity. Might be a little small for a larger Thamnophis but some of the smaller species would do fine.

If you don't put snakes in, after you put the grasses and such in there, that would make an AWESOME crested or gargoyle gecko habitat, js. Storeria snakes would probably love that set up too. (One of my cresteds are in a 26 bowfront lol, does not look anywhere near as nice as that though)

Thanks for the kind words, I still have to drench the water (it's clay) so it will hold lots of water. I can't have snakes I guess, mom freaked at the idea. So I will have to settle for Chorus frogs. In college though (which is sooner) it will I think either house some brown snakes or a plains/butlers garter

Might want to check to see if T. butleri is on the protected species list in your State.

It's not native to mn, it was removed from the threatened list in Wisconsin as of January 1st, 2014 (that's where I'm going to college)

Well here the tank is, it's totally itching me for a small garter but I can't have snakes. So some small native Chorus frogs will call this home. Now I have wait until all the freezing flakes leave the ground to get plants.
