Supprise Snakes.

Today I looked into my Garter tank, and to my surprise I found a baby garter snake looking back at me! My two garter snakes were both found while large enough to eat pinkies and night crawlers, and I am unsure of what to feed these little guys. If I'm not mistaken, they can go for some weeks without feeding after birth, but to be on the safe side I would like to pick up some feed tomorrow, but I have no idea what would be acceptable for such a tiny snake. So far I have counted 9 babies, but I don't know if I upset the mother into holding the rest for the time, so I will count again tomorrow! Maybe IF I can get my camera working, pictures too.

Re: Supprise Snakes.

Worms (cut them into smaller pieces if they are too large), guppies and other small fish, parts of bigger fish, parts of pinkies.

Congratulations, by the way.

Re: Supprise Snakes.

they won't eat for a day or two, they will go thru a shed first. feeder guppies are really good to start with.
