preemptive wet-bagging?
Sammy is going into shed - I'm pretty sure
I haven't seen her blue-eyed, but she's totally krinkely when she came out of brumation, I found that she has some old shed on her neck, that I must have missed she's been having difficult sheds since her surgery so I just wet-bagged her I'm not entirely certain that she'd ready to shed, but I'm willing to see . . . I'd really like it to happen - she's been looking like a dry old battle ax for a while now

Re: preemptive wet-bagging?
Yeh, it's sounding like that's a good idea. Even if she's not ready to shed, bagging her ahead of time won't really hurt her at all.

Re: preemptive wet-bagging?
it has been annoying her a bit
I didn't leave her in the bag as long as I planned, but I've decided to wet-bag her at least once a day until she sheds - I figure it'll make things easier I'm concerned that the old retained shed on her neck will complicate the next shed I also got this stuff called "shed away" and I'm rubbing it into the areas I'm worried about she seems to enjoy the attention

Re: preemptive wet-bagging?
okay I am sorry to sound like a n00b here, but what the heck is a wet bag???? similar to what i do by soaking them in a chinese take out container i would suppose? I don't really ever see bad sheds here, so i'm not familiar with this wet bagging stuff... lol!

My house has humidity problems in the winter, so I wet bag my babies from time to time when they are ready to shed. I use an athetic sock, and close the top with a large rubber band.

Re: preemptive wet-bagging?
I tried to use a wet bag once, made from an old worn-out bed sheet. The damn thing broke right through it during the night.
And it wasn't even at the seam.
