Update on Florida Eastern Babies
I'm happy to report that 9 of 13 babies have cleaned their plates of nightcrawlers! 2 ate but didn't clean their plates, and 2 didn't eat. We'll have patience, and hope the non-eaters just had LOTS of yolk, and aren't hungry yet.
I am keeping them in a reptile basics rack and am finding it NOT wonderful. It might be fine for other geni, but our Thamnophis are SOOOOOOO curious, they're always at the front, wondering what's going on in this big outside world of ours. At the first opportunity, they are ready to hurl themselves out to go find their fortune on this big blue marble. Not so good for a worried mom! Monday, I hope to take a spare tub in to my local glass place and see if they can work some acrylic and router magic. I'd like an acrylic top into which the tubs slide while I remove it from the rack. If they are successful, I'll make a vid, so you all can see exactly what I have in mind.
In summation, GO BABIES!!!!!
