The girls have a new home...

I got an early Christmas present!!! My mother chipped in and gave me money toward a new enclosure for Selena and Cee Cee...it has sliding glass doors in the front...is 30 gallon...and after a long day of working on it to make sure that there would be no escaping and no injuries...the girls have a beautiful new home (and Hermes has their old tank with a lock-lid so that he won't escape)...

I ended up having to do a lot of work on it...lots of tape and stopping of holes and such...Cee Cee of course immediately went to work looking for any little space she could find to get through...but I think I was pretty thorough...she even surprised me by getting up to the top of the tank!!! Oh...and when I first put her in it she flipped out and lunged at me from across the tank...lol!

I just wish that whoever made reptile habitats understood reptiles better...especially garters...whoever makes the lids on these things does not understand snakes and escape tactics...every enclosure I have had, I have had to rig so that the snakes can't escape or get injured...perhaps I should start designing reptile habitats...maybe that is my cha...ching!

Careful with the tape, a garter can easily get stuck on it. It can pull their scales and tongues off.
