    I got two bedding's, which one?

    I am getting a new garter cage setup and I have two different bedding's, one is ''Eco carpet'' the other is oak shavings, is oak safe, which should I use?

    The oak shavings would give the snake something to burrow in, but cage carpet is fine too.

    It's a matter of preference.

    Shavings over carpet any day for me. Shavings are burrowable and can be spot cleaned. Spot cleaning in my opinion is really helpful with the amount of poop garters make. Plus loose substrates always seem to look better to me

    I'd go with the shavings, particularly if you have a garter that likes to burrow.

    Welcome to the forum!!! I agree...my garters love to burrow. Go with substrate that they can burrow in.
