It depends on how big the florida blue is. Normaly the oregons are a little bit more expensive ( at least in Europe they are)
But like James said, when you have a good feeling about it than it is a good trade.
Yeh, Oregons (T.s.concinnus) do usually bring more at the shows and such around here......guess it really depends how nice a Fla. Garter (T.s.sirtalis) you're getting. I've seen some realy crazy looking ones at shows that would blow away any Oregon. In the end it's really up to what you want to work with.

well, i got him at a hamburg show, some one from kingsnake said he would do it but i havent heard back from him in a while...im going to take him with me to the next hamburg show ---april 28-- and see if i can get anything.
Myself I would want to know things about the other snake, such as: approximate age, does it take rodents, and how does it behave when handled.
Personally, I really like blue snakes. I would want to have good colour.
Good luck with your trade.

Hmmmm....actually if your "him" T.s.concinnus is a "him" and your trade goes south, I may be interested in him. I'll be at Hamburg as well in April. How big is you T.s.concinnus? What's it been feeding on? Do you have any pics of "him" that you can post here, so I can get a look at him?

i was told by my vet that it was a male, he said it is kinda hard because he is so small....he is guessing about 7 months i dont have an acurrate measurment of him but he is pretty long, getting fatter
He is eating rosies, earthworms and the occasional pinkie. If you look for a thread in general garter snake called new pics there are a number of pics of him in there.
