when I need to shop for something I've in the past asked forum members for input from their experience and it's really helped

what if it was in thread format?
then nobody would get sued
each product could be a thread in a sort of loose question and answer format
so that when a member wants to find out about a product, they can just see whether there's thread about it and if there isn't, they can start one
people who have experience with that product can respond with their perception of it's pros and cons
if somebody feels called upon to review a product, they can start a thread
