Re: Thamnophis.com World Meeting
I hear what you're saying, Stefan, but what about the Garter field herping trip? No Garters in Europe. Plus the majority of our members are from the US.
Besides, do we really want all those Americans over here (again)? ![]() ![]()

Re: Thamnophis.com World Meeting
sounds like a lot of fun to me!!!! As we get closer to a posible idea....need to make sure of the regulations in the area we are going. If we are collectiong snakes inCalifornia...you have to have a fishing license....Kansas requires a hunting license to catch reptiles (silly, yes). Utah is beautiful also....lots of wandering garters and we might be able to get Brian Eager to show us where a few valley garters are....

Right, no garters in Europe, except for that tiny population in southern Sweden. But there are 198 other herps in Europe, that don't get the attention they deserve.Quote:

Re: Thamnophis.com World Meeting
My idea was Eastern US... maybe the Carolinas? (Sids back yard!) The Europeans have to cross the Atlantic, the Americans have to cross the North American continent. (Except for Sid!) It's about as central as we can get, I reckon.
