Re: Thamnophis.com World Meeting

Canada? The idea is good, but do we have a 'man on the ground' as we do with Sid in the Carolinas? I doubt we'd be allowed to collect there. Are their any species other than parietalis (Stefans favourite)to be found in Manitoba?

Any body else got ideas for the ideal venue?

Just found a flight from Manchester UK to Winnipeg Manitoba..... £828- return!

Re: Thamnophis.com World Meeting

since we seem to be in the brain storming stage of this dicussion - how about Mexico?
Accomodations are likely to be considerably less costly than any place n the US or Europe and there's some knock-out garters down there and Robert could be our "man on the ground" if he's willing

Re: Thamnophis.com World Meeting

That would be great, wouldn't it? Unfortunately ALL Mexican fauna is under a blanket export ban. I'm afraid if we ever want to bring anything out of Mexico, we're going to have to use my 'shorts plan'!

There are a few garter species in the countries south of Mexico, too.

Geez, James, listen to the man. How the hell could the US compete with that?
