Is it considered cruel, or just unsporting to use a combination of sticky tape and blue tack to keep the little buggers in position long enough to take a photograph with the aperture wide open to improve the depth of field?

I think it's unsporting for Udo to use such an awesome snake and then to take such a good photo.
