my guys will never take food straight away. even if they are right next to it, they will always wait about 5 hours before eating it.

you say hes a reluctant feeder, have you tried just leaving it for a while. even overnight. mine would only ever feed at night when i first got them... probably a security thing for them.

Right, have moved him to a warmer place this morning so will try feeding again in a day or two so he gets settled. I have tried leaving food in overnight before and hes not been interested, definitely seems to be movement that triggers his feeding response. Even if he does eat now ive moved him think i'll still take him to the vet, just to check everything is ok with him.

Re: Can anyone help?

I would still take him to the vet, if only to get the lump checked out.

Re: Can anyone help?

yeah, i will, i know that inbreeding issues with the species can cause tumors, had one once before that had a skin tumor, the vet we were with at the time(different one than our current vet) tried to remove it but the snake still died. Dont want to repeat that again.

Re: Can anyone help?

Well, i took him to the vets on tuesday, and its not good. The lump is some sort of tumor and because hes so small and he lost so much weight theres not much they can do. So putting him to sleep was the only right thing to do.
