Re: Need Help Now!!
I'd do at least ten minutes - more if she likes it
make sure she can rest in the water and that her head can rest out of water shallow water with maybe a rock in it how is she doing now - same? better? worse? If you can keep her from getting worse until you get her to the vet . . . All the best

Re: Need Help Now!!
Justin,
Sorry to hear that, but quickly supplement the ribbon snake's dietary B1 consumption (before she starts showing neurological problems), and your garter will not have died in vain. Your story and videos will also help others recognize similar problems more quickly, so hopefully you can take comfort in that knowledge. Rick |

Re: Need Help Now!!
It's sad to hear that she's getting worse.
This may sound strange at the moment, but may the video's be used to put in the article "Thiamin, Thiaminase & goldfish"? I think this could add to the article and help others recognise the problem. |

Re: Need Help Now!!
Sorry to hear about your garter (didn't pick up this thread 'til today). It's going through the exact same symptoms as my Manitoba Redsided did before I lost her to thiaminase problems.
Roy
