brownish under scales on chin

my female Tina I have noticed has got a spot under her chin that is kinda brownish where the scales meet. one of the scales on her under body by her chin is almost slightly protruding outward. I took a couple pix, best i could with two hands (too bad we couldn't grow an extra one)


please let me know if it's serious or anything to be worried about etc...

Check for a retained belly scale from shedding.
I have a het. albino checkered with the same looking thing.
I'm treating with Silver Sulfadiazine. You can also use triple antibiotic ointment.
Something to keep an eye on or have a Vet. check out.

a vet visit it way out of my budget unfortunatly.
what exactly is Silver Sulfadiazine and how is it aquired if it is needed?

We got it from a doctor around here, it was used to treat my nephews skin problem. Amazon has it also for 11 USD, I don't know if it's the kind you can use on snakes but it looks like the same container we had got for my niece

You may also try to give him regular baths with PVP-Iodine in water for a while.

! The snake will become yellowish, but it´s only a coloring of the skin, that´ll be gone with the next shed !

Will the pvp-iodine hurt her if that's not what is wrong? And is that just available at the drug store.

Is it possible that the snake has gotten its head stuck somewhere at some point?

It should be avaliable in a drugstore or pharmacy.
I use one spoon in a pint of warm water sometimes also precautionary.

She could have gotten her head stuck, but it wouldn't of been anything heavy at all. the hide has enough cypress mulch under it that they can slither under neath without any problems. She loves to burrow though, mostly being under the mulch.
