"Third shed, A Success"
Breeder in Michigan?
Hello. Newcomer here. Last week my son and I caught a lovely little Eastern garter snake that he has named 'Aberforth'. Aberforth has been a delight, but despite all our best efforts it has shown no interest in feeding on crickets, earthworms or guppies. I fear we are going to have to set her free in a couple days, and my son is going to be heartbroken. Rather than fighting to acclimatize another wild caught snake, I'd like to find a captive bred snake that we know is healthy and eager to eat. Calm temperament is a big plus, Fancy colors are not. Any suggestions? We may make a trip down to the upcoming Kalamazoo Herp show. (Missed the June one, alas.) Ellen
