I still think it's the best forum, but it's less good than it was when you started this thread. People are still relatively nice to each other, but it's obvious to me that some would rather not be so diplomatic.

Thank you, Shanley... it's true, I am wonderful.
Our forum is the best and I think we can keep it that way, and even improve it. As Stefan rightly points out, some people struggle occassionally to remain diplomatic (myself included) when certain topics arise, but I think we can discuss these topics in an adult manner without hurting each other. In fact I think we should make a point of discussing these more controvertial subjects as often as possible... nothing should be taboo.... as long as we remain nice to each other.

With so many people from such diverse places and backgrounds here... of course from time to time it may get a bit uncomfortable or heated but the point is, we seem to all strive to respect each other and learn from each other. And I am so very, very fond of you all (yeah, even you, Stefan, and some day I shall HUG YOU!!!!!!) and very glad I have you to come to every day. :-)

Funny you should mention that, Stefan. I've been kind of feeling that way myself lately, and it's been really bugging me, but I thought maybe it was just me being cranky.
It is still a great place to be though.

I've been finding myself a little less "at home" here and I thought it was just me, because I tend to get overwhelmed easily and there's just much more . . . more . . .
I can't exactly put my finger on what else changed, but I know something has

You can not please all the people all the time!
Have you been to other forums? "Flaming" is the norm on most of them. I just talked to Brian Hubbs last night. He just joined this forum & he said everyone here seems to be nice. Hubbs is a well known kingsnake author & photographer & if you know him, that is alot coming from him. One thing I appriciate about this site is how weather a novice or advanced, all are welcome. We can choose which threads to read or pass. We have that choice with the number of post made here daily. I think "Garter Snake People" are different than other "Snake People", but maybe that is a good thing I think this is the one site that I have never got upset after visiting.

Yeah... I don't notice anything. Lol! But I spend time lurking on other forums where it easily gets out of hand. And people can be generally rude.
This forum though... ROCKS!!
