Re: Greetings from California

Welcome to the forum and have fun here

Those are indeed ribbons and I would go for the advice of James and let the little ones go it you don't have that much experience...

Number like 1.2.3 mean the number of male.female.unsexed so in the example:
1 male, 2 female and 3 unsexed animals

Re: Greetings from California

welcome to the forum
I guess congratulations are not called for
babies are more difficult to take care of, because they need smaller food items more often and they tend to be more difficult to handle, because of their small size
since releasing the babies is not an option, I'd get one of your snake people on here
my assumption is that your son won't willingly give them up either
is there an adult who's willing to do a little extra work?
it's just the first couple of weeks or so that are difficult and take some patience
once you've figured out what they'll eat, they're just as easy as adults, except that they eat more often

Re: Greetings from California

Hello, and welcome!
Those are very pretty snakes. If you're not sure whether to keep the babies, then asking the pet shop if they'll take them is a good first option. Releasing them would be okay too.
Maybe your son could pick one to keep so the mom has a companion?
My husband isn't a 'snake person' either, but after all this time, he's actually developed quite an interest in them.

Re: Greetings from California

Hi- just a quick thought- we dont have Ribbons in California- Please Do Not release them. They do not belong here in the wild, and it is illegal to release them. You will need to rehome them or keep them.
