Looking for Common Garters for sale

I'm a Biology teacher in Las Vegas, I'm having my students research, design and make "habitats" for a garter snake. I thought these would be easy snakes to find for purchase, at a relativily inexpensive price. To my surprise they have not been easy to locate.
If any of you have any suggestions on where to go to by common garters, or ribbon snakes this time of year it would be greatly appreciated by me and my students

They are a little hard to find thistime of the year....check with brown665...he might have some available..most breeders are just bringing them out of hibernation and they are just barely breeding.....

Thanks for the suggestion, I actually just got an email from him. I'm assuming that you are the "utahn" that he shipped to this summer.
I'm actually a "utahn" temporarily teaching in Las Vegas. Later

Born in Logan, raised in American Fork, most recently from Sugarhouse, (have property in sugerhouse). How about yourself?

I grew up in Idaho, moved to Utah in 96. I live in Magna now. My wife and I bought a house out here...fairly quiet area too. I know the Sugarhouse area well....my work takes me there a lot....
